Between October 2019 and June 2024, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported nearly 11 million border encounters nationwide, with monthly encounters peaking at over 370,000 in December 2023
The USA has not experienced the current rate of decline in manufacturing since World Word II. China has become the factory for the majority of goods purchased in America.

Solution

Build new factories along the border(s) and hire undocumented immigrants who would normally try to enter illegally.
Once the newly documented employee completes his/her 4 year work term they would be granted legal status and entry into the USA via a Green Card.
The workers wages would be low enough to compete with offshore manufacturing. Workers income would include housing, food, recreation, child care and other facilities all built within the factory compound.
This business model is not new. Chinese factories work on a very similar bases.
This solution results in a win win situation. The illegal immigration crisis is solved. The massive loss of manufacturing is solved.
